Fr. Wolfgang Rothe 1

Abuser priest named advisor for sex victims

A recent report published on February 20, 2026 in the German Catholic newspaper Die Tagespost focused on the absurd decision of the German Bishops' Conference to name Fr. Wolgang Ruthe as part of the advisory board for victims of sexual abuse by members of the clergy.

Fr. Rothe is an open and scandalous homosexual priest who TIA has exposed more than once - here and here.

According to several sources quoted by Die Tagespost – the German magazines Neuer Anfang and Cicero and the Austrian magazine Profil – Fr. Rothe was caught in homosexual activity abusing a student when he was vice-rector of St. Polten's Seminary in Austria.

The report affirms that in 2005 Fr. Rothe sued the publisher of Profil and lost in the Vienna Regional Court. In 2006, he appealed the verdict to the Vienna Higher Court, and lost there as well. Then, he appealed to European Court of Human Rights and also lost in his attempts to forbid the publication of his abuses.

He never stopped his homosexual propaganda, which included participating in "pride parades" above, promoting Masses for LGBT partisans, third to fifth rows below, publishing books defending this vice against nature, sixth row, and even advertising for a homo roommate, second row.

In the third row, the pamphlets inviting people to a LGBT Mass in St. Paul's Church in Munich read: "Welcome and a rainbow greeting. God bless you," and "Catholic means for everyone"

Despite all this evidence, in 2024 the Bishops' Conference named him advisor for victims of sex abuse. Parents and other Catholics who considered that nomination a "punch in the gut" were upset and vented their indignation to all the Bishops of that German Conference. No answer. This is why those Catholics continue sending material to the press.

The Archbishop of Munich Card. Reinhard Marx who affirmed he did not agree with that nomination, nonetheless does little to forbid Fr. Wolfgang Rothe from continuing his intense activity in the archdiocese under his jurisdiction.
