Bishop Francesco Savino

Mass for LGBT in Rome

Above right, speaking from the pulpit we find Bishop Francesco Savino, vice-president of the Italian Bishops' Conference. He officiated at a Mass for LGBT members present in Rome for the Jubilee. The Mass was said at the Gesù, the Mother-Church of the Jesuits where St. Ignatius' body is buried. The Mass was con-celebrated with 30 priests, Fr. James Martin included.

The photos and gifs on this page show the Mass and its audience. After the Mass the LGBT members went to St. Peter's Basilica to pass through the Holy Door.

In his homily Bishop Savino asked the Lord to "deliver us from any polemical or ideological temptation, from any preconceived temptation based on prejudice."

These words were an indirect way to reject the previous Catholic Doctrine based on Scriptures, the Magisterium and Tradition, which condemn homosexuality and the vices connected to it as sins against nature that call to Heaven for vengeance.

The fact that the Italian Bishops' Conference sent its vice-president to officiate at that Mass shows its complete solidarity with the initiative. The fact that the Jesuits offered their main church to host that Mass shows that they are completely supportive of the LGBT movement.

If we add to these supports Pope Leo XIV's invitation to this movement to come to Rome to celebrate the Jubillee, we have the apocalyptic reality that the entire Hierarchy is promoting this vice.

We Catholics should not be surprised to see God intervene and come to rescue His Church in a way that will never be forgotten.
