Is the Vatican promoting hermaphroditism?
The picture above representing the pagan god Saturn was reproduced on the January 2, 2026 issue of L'Osservatore Romano, the Vatican newspaper. Many strange things can be noticed in this picture:
First, the illustration was floating on the page without a particular link to any of the articles.
Second, the picture's caption reads: "Bas-relief by Agostino di Duccio representing Saturn, governing star of Saturday." But the newspaper was dated Friday.
Third, the normal pagan commemoration of Saturn – the Saturnalia, which were orgies where the participants considered themselves free from any constraints – used to be in late December until the 31, to which this January 2 newspaper's publication seems to refer, given that the paper did not appear on December 31 or January 1.
Fourth and most important, the figure is masculine with bear, but has feminine breasts, that is, it is a hermaphrodite.
Today, the hermaphrodite is named intersex and is one of the multiple categories of the Sexual Revolution, along with cisgender, transgender, non-binary, plurysexual, pansexual, queer and others.
So, the publication of this bas-relief in L'Osservatore Romano looks very much like a promotion of hermaphroditism as well as paganism and orgies.
Why would this important religious organ promote these moral abominations? We do not have conditions to respond, but we register a stronger suspicion that something occult is behind it.
