Don't stick out your tongue at others
On April 18, 2026, the twins of King Frederik X and Queen Mary of Denmark received their confirmation at the Palace of Fredensborg's chapel on Zealand Island, their summer residence.The Royal Twins are to be commended for their elegant dress for the occasion. Prince Vincent was wearing a double-breasted navy suit with a crisp white shirt and dark tie, and Princess Josephine, in a pearl necklace and earrings, donned a long white dress with long sleeves.
However, as the family entered the chapel, Prince Vincent turned his head to stick out his tongue at the photographers, who of course captured and spread the shot.
This supposed act of mischievous fun was very inappropriate. Indeed, to stick out one's tongue at others is a childish or feminine way to say: "I do not care about you," or "I despise you," or "I am much more than you."
No matter how we interpret the gesture, it is unfitting for any well-bred person, and especially when he is a Royal Prince and going to receive his confirmation. At age 15, the young man should have more sense of honor and dignity than what he showed on that occasion.
This reveals not only the bad behavior of Prince Vincent, but speaks volumes about the lack of parental discipline during his formative years.
