Kerala dancing priest: A religion of pleasure
In the gif above, we see Fr. Amal Maliackel dancing with youth and performing lascivious body movements imitating the sexual act. It is a tendency that has become more and more common among priests and religious persons.Since Catholic Morals condemns this type of public display, it is easy to demonstrate that this priest should not be doing this. Thus, his Archbishop Joseph Kalathiparambil is also guilty of lax morality for not forbidding him from partaking in such dances.
But the problem is not so simple. Even when a priest dances with youth seeking only pleasure – see the other gifs of Fr. Maliackel on this page – he is sending the wrong message about Catholic Faith and Morals.
Indeed, since Our Lord is the opposite of the world, especially the modern world, to engage in modern dances and revolutionary customs implicitly offends and transgresses His Person, His doctrine and His Church.
So, deep down, the entire Conciliar Church with its idolatry of the modern world and its abandonment of Catholic Morals is pulling millions of souls into this enormous trap: They are told that they are Catholics and claim to be so, but actually they are not.
Catholics are the friends of the Cross, not of pleasure.
Fr. Amal Maliackel is assistant vicar at St. John Baptist Church in Palarivattom, State of Kerala, India.
