Salesian nuns zip-lining 1

Salesian postulants zip-lining

A reader from Instagram sent us the photo above and those in the first and second row below with these words:

Dear TIA,

I found perhaps the most unseemly position for a religious sister to be in zip-lining upside-down.

This Salesian postulant was photographed on a zip line for the Novus Ordo summer camp called Camp Wojtyla. Her legs are exposed (she has leggings on); she is in a contorted upside-down position, with a helmet on over her veil. Why a woman who purportedly is preparing to become a spouse of Our Lord Jesus Christ would want to go zip-lining, I do not know.

Another Sister is caught rock climbing with a big smile and sunglasses, legs showing as well.

To the modern Salesians, being a Sister is no different from being a modern laywoman. The only difference seems to be that they wear a type of habit (without the principle of modesty governing its usage).

May religious orders be restored to their original spirit of sacrality, penance and seriousness!

God bless, T.M.P.

We heartily endorse these comments.

From the third row down we added photos of nuns from different religious institutions practicing various sports that also seem to us quite inappropriate for women who have dedicated their lives to be virginal spouses of Christ and make reparation for the sins of the world.
