Praying for TIA’s Pilgrimage

Dear TIA,

+PAX

Several months ago I was pleasantly surprised to find that our library contains two volumes of Fr. Zephyrin Engelhardt's work The Missionaries of California and two very nice picture books of the mission churches along the coast of California, one of which mentions Old Gabriel [the 151 year old native in Monterey]::

The editors of the book maintain that Old Gabriel was actually 140 years old when he died, as a certain register clearly states that he was baptised by Fra Junipero Serra in 1780, when Gabriel was 30 years old. It is a small detail that I thought might interest you, if you don't already know about him.

Here in deepest England the time is 8 hours ahead of the time on the West Coast of the United States, I believe. I usually retire a little before 8 o'clock, but on 9th and 10th June I shall say an extra decade of the Rosary before I climb into bed for everyone on TIA's pilgrimage. What might you be doing at midday?

Have you read the Pope's encyclical? We started reading it in our refectory last Tuesday. My initial impression is that it sound like a very long appendix to Gaudium et Spes. I don't understand how anyone can continue to insist on the fiction of the Church's dialogue with modern world.

I hope everyone at Tradition in Action is keeping well.

     In Christo,

     Br. M.J., OSB, England

Self-Learning Student

Dear TIA,

Salve Maria!

May I first congratulate you for Prof. Plinio’s series “True and False Paths to Happiness”, which, if I remember correctly, you translated into English? It has been life-changing and an excellent orientator of thought.

I began reading it for artistic direction, but was left with a hunger for philosophical and theological knowledge. There are many, many articles on your website which satisfy this hunger. However, at times I wish for a fuller, more in-depth, “systematic” education in Thomism etc. The natural place to seek this would be the university, but they are all liberal! – especially the Catholic universities…

So one must wonder how to gain this knowledge, if not at a university: self-study? How difficult, with no professor or program to guide you… I pray you can offer some advice.

     + In Maria,

     Dylan Catlett

TIA responds:

Dear Mr. Catlett,

Salve Maria!

We are glad you are greatly benefiting from the articles of Prof. Plinio in the series “True and False Paths for Happiness.”

Yes, the doctrinal background you are looking for cannot be found in our universities, unfortunately. The Catholic colleges are, almost without exception, dominated by Progressivism and the temporal ones by the extreme left.

As a suggestion we would recommend you to download and read two books on our website – The Human Process and Society of Souls. They are summaries of Prof. Plinio's meetings and give you some of the philosophical/theological principles you are looking for. We also suggest you study the series on Egalitarianism, classes Prof. Plinio gave in 1957 based on the teachings of St. Thomas.

If you have any questions as you study these works, please submit them to us. We may have a way to clarify them for you using these modern technologies like Google-meet. In this way you will not have to be entirely a self-learning student.

     Cordially,

Monaco Dances with ETs

Dear TIA,

This year, at the 70th Rose Ball in the Salle des Étoiles [Stars' Room] in Monaco, the theme was alien-inspired. Quite significant - as this is an important charitable event not just in that country but it is followed and/or attended by many people in the world. Each year since its start in 1954, there is a special theme. This year it was supposedly "interstellar" with aliens on stage.

Below you can see an alien in silver wrap greeting Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco and others on their entrance. Inside, the show was very “spacey” and alien.

Very strange and eerie don’t you think? It seems to me that we are supposed to accept the idea of aliens (devils) landing and appearing on our earth.

This is the way the Deep State works to accustom people to its coming plans.

     Keep up your good work.

     G.G.

Transgender Missionary in Florida

Dear TIA,

Here’s one for the Church Revolution page…

See attached website link and photos below of transgender missionary [marked by the red arrow] for the Totus Tuus program aimed at 1st to 12th graders.

Yes, the Bishop has extended his blessing to this.

May Our Lady intervene to prevent the sleight of hand subtle indoctrination.

     Kind regards,

     C.A.M.

June: The Family Month

Dear TIA,

We Catholics celebrate June as the Sacred Heart of Jesus Month. Perhaps to blaspheme this devotion the Secret Forces decided to dedicate June to homosexuals. But now, tired of this anti-natural propaganda, some States in the US are turning the tide.

They are declaring June the month of the family. We already have Tennessee and Arkansas leading this new wave.

I hope and pray the tide will spread, and the homosexual movement soon may go where it belongs: the trash.

Please, read the attached article

     Best regards,

Red States Replace ‘Pride Month’ as Support for LGBT Events Plummets

S.A. McCarthy

June 1, 2026 - Pride Month is off to a faltering start again this year as yet another red state ditches the month-long celebration of LGBT depravity in favor of family values. Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R) signed a proclamation last week declaring June to be “Fidelity Month” in her state.

“The United States of America was founded on the values of faith, liberty, and patriotism as acknowledged in its founding documents and in the statements of its Founding Fathers,” the proclamation reads. “The commitment of Arkansas to spiritual and civic institutions is at the core of the State’s collective identity. … Cultivating fidelity to God, family, community, and country contributes to human flourishing and supports a healthy, stable, well-ordered society,” it continues. “Practices that encourage virtue, commitment, responsibility, and shared moral foundations strengthen both individuals and their communities. … Fidelity Month provides an opportunity for residents to reflect on and renew commitments to these shared values and institutions…”

Earlier this year, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee (R) also rejected Pride Month, declaring June instead to be “Nuclear Family Month” in the Volunteer State. The governor’s proclamation asserted that “the nuclear family, consisting of one husband, one wife, and any biological, adopted, or fostered children, is God’s design for familial structure and has been the bedrock of society since the creation of the world…” The nuclear family “was the basic building block of Tennessee’s society throughout her formative years [and] built the United States of America and created prosperity within our nation,” Lee’s proclamation continued.
