Leo’s Colors, Rio Show & Fatima Apotheosis
Showing His Colors
Dear TIA,
Delivering a talk on May 14, to the Prelates of Catholic Eastern Rites meeting in Rome, Pope Leo XIV affirmed that those who believe there is good and evil have “Manichaean notions.” I quote his very words:
“Those who make history are the peacemakers, not those who sow seeds of suffering. Our neighbors are not first our enemies, but our fellow human beings; not criminals to be hated, but other men and women with whom we can speak. Let us reject the Manichean notions so typical of that mindset of violence that divides the world into those who are good and those who are evil.”
Now then, if all those who distinguish between good and evil would profess “Manichean notions,” not only all Catholic Saints would be included in this category, but Our Lord Jesus Christ also. He founded the Catholic Church as a militant institution based upon the combat of good against evil, truth against error. When Pope Leo XIV makes this generic accusation, he is greatly simplifying reality and inducing Catholics into error.
Indeed, Manichaeism is wrong not because it says that there is good and evil, but because it sustains that in the beginning of everything there were two equally almighty principles, one good and one evil, which would explain good and evil in Creation as reflections of these two principles. This is the metaphysical error of Manichaeism.
The Catholic explanation for the existence of evil is different. In the beginning was only one good almighty principle, God, who created everything good. Then, one of His creatures, Satan, revolted and, throughout History, leads the cohorts of evil creatures – angels and men – against the good ones. This is the moral origin of evil. It explains perfectly the reality we have before our eyes.
So, both the Manicheans and the Catholics admit the existence of evil and good, although for opposed reasons.
When Pope Leo XIV implies that all those who admit good and evil are Manicheans, he is misleading his flock and inducing Catholics to abandon militancy and become pacifists.
Leo XIV started to show his colors very early… only six days after being elected Pope.
In Christ Jesus,
E.J.

Fabulous Show of Lights
Dear TIA,
On Sunday May 12, Mothers’ Day, Catholics in Rio de Janeiro had the brilliant idea to bring a display of lights representing Our Lady Aparecida, Patroness of Brazil, to soar through the night skies to be with the famous statue of Christ the Redeemer.
So they sent an enormous quantity of drones into the air and composed a very beautiful ethereal figure of Our Lady, which travelled in the air until it was face-to-face with the statue of Christ the Redeemer. When she arrived before Him, she maternally opened her arms to her Son.
Next, from both the statue of Christ and the hovering representation of Our Lady, two red Hearts appear in the air. They meet in the air and join together to form just one Heart, which then moves toward the statue Christ and becomes His Heart.
It is an fabulous display of Catholic art and Catholic Faith.
May both Christ and Mary bless those who had such a magnificent initiative and then so brilliantly carried it out, and bless all Brazilians who have such a devotion to their Mother and their God.
Enjoy the show.

Apotheosis in Fatima
Dear TIA,
These photos below were taken on May 13, 2015. They show the square in front of the Basilica of Fatima absolutely packed with pilgrims commemorating Our Lady of Fatima feast day – May 13.
It was an apotheosis of devotion! I have never seen this amount of people gathering there, even though it is common to have impressive multitudes. It certainly reveals something of an internal attraction she exercises in the soul of each pilgrim, independent of the progressivist Hierarchy.
It seems to me a sign of the Chastisement that is coming to prepare her Reign on earth.
May Our Lady be glorified by it!
In Jesu et Maria,
P.M.

Vatican-China Agreement to Be Reviewed
TIA,
Could you please post this news release from Human Rights Watch? It is sad when an international organization for human rights has to beg the Catholic Church to provide the right of worship for the Catholic Underground Church in China and to free faithful bishops and priests.
Right now only the Communist State-controlled Church has any rights, and those are increasingly limited.
Thanks for your good coverage on this topic,

To the Holy See: Review the Vatican-China Agreement
Pope Leo Should Press Beijing on Religious Freedom, Release of Bishops
(London) – The new Pope, Leo XIV, should direct an urgent review of the Vatican’s 2018 agreement with the Chinese government that allows Beijing to appoint bishops for government-approved houses of worship, Human Rights Watch said today. He should also press the government to end the persecution of underground churches, clergy, and worshipers.
The Chinese government has continued to install Chinese Communist Party-compliant clergy. AsiaNews reported that during the mourning period for Pope Francis, who died on April 21, 2025, that the Chinese government had moved forward on the appointments of an auxiliary bishop in Shanghai and the bishop of Xinxiang, Henan province.
“Pope Leo XIV has an opportunity to make a fresh start with China to protect the religious freedom of China’s Catholics,” said Maya Wang, associate China director at Human Rights Watch. “The new Pope should press for negotiations that could help improve the right to religious practice for everyone in China.”
The Chinese government has long restricted the country’s estimated 12 million Catholics to worship in official churches under the leadership of the Chinese Patriotic Catholic Association, and has persecuted Catholics who have attended underground “house churches” or pledged allegiance only to the pope. The government has conducted frequent raids on underground churches and arrested unapproved clergy and congregants.
Pope Leo should press the Chinese government to immediately free several Catholic clergy who in recent years have been imprisoned, forcibly disappeared, or subjected to house arrest and other harassment, Human Rights Watch said. They include James Su Zhimin, Augustine Cui Tai, Julius Jia Zhiguo, Joseph Zhang Weizhu, Peter Shao Zhumin, and Thaddeus Ma Daqin, as reported by the Hudson Institute.
The 2018 Provisional Agreement regarding the Appointment of Bishops, the full text of which has never been made public, ended a decades-long standoff over who had the authority to appoint bishops in China. Under the agreement, Beijing proposes future bishops, and the pope has veto power over those appointments.
Since the 2018 agreement, the two parties have agreed on the appointment of 10 bishops, covering about a third of the over 90 dioceses in China that remained without a bishop. The Vatican has never exercised its veto power, however, even when the Chinese government violated the agreement by unilaterally appointing bishops in 2022 and 2023, appointments that Pope Francis later accepted.
In a 2024 news statement renewing the 2018 agreement, the Vatican stated that it aimed to “benefit … the Catholic Church in China and the Chinese people as a whole.” The Holy See and the Chinese government have renewed the agreement three times.
The Chinese government, which restricts all religious practice in China to five officially recognized religions, regulates official church business and retains control over personnel appointments, publications, finances, and seminary applications.
The 2018 Holy See-China agreement was reached during President Xi Jinping’s drive to tighten already stringent controls over religions in China in the name of “Sinicization” of religion. In recent years the authorities have demolished hundreds of church buildings or the crosses atop them, prevented adherents from gathering in unofficial churches, restricted access to the Bible, confiscated religious materials not authorized by the government, and banned Bible and religious apps. ...
“Chinese Catholics worshiping in underground churches are among the ‘ordinary people’ on whom Pope Leo has said the church should focus its attention,” Wang said. “It’s critical for religious freedom in China that the Catholic Church stands on their side, and not on the side of their oppressors.”

Re: Pope Leo XIV, a Francis Fan
Not Francis 2.0... far more perilous, for he is exceedingly intelligent and tight-lipped, cut from the same cloth – fashioned in the same factory of ‘saints’ – which renders him significantly more dangerous than his predecessor. Which is why millions of ‘traditional’ Catholics will fall for the bait… it has already happened…
Yours in Christ.
