Prayers for TAN, Slap & Sodomite Newman

Thomas A. Nelson

TIA,

A great pioneer of the Traditional movement needs our prayers, as he may be dying.

Thomas A. Nelson, the founder of TAN Books & Publishers, suffered a stroke on Friday, Jan. 10th.

Here is the e-mail in full:

Please pray for Tom Nelson (founder of TAN books) for he had a stroke Friday night. He is currently at Rockford Memorial Hospital (in Rockford, IL) and is not coherent. They are concerned that he could die at any time.

Fr. Kurtz (SSPX) just gave Tom Last Rites (January 14, 2020, 1:17pm). Tom was aware that he was being anointed and was trying to make the Sign of the Cross. He is still in critical condition and needs your prayers.

A Chinese Lady with Faith

Dear TIA,

Salve Maria!

Regarding the pope slap scene (here and here).

One thing that stunned me was that in the face of so many nodding heads, people wanting to take pictures with the Pope, laughter, etc., we see that the only believer who made the Sign of the Cross that characterizes the Catholic Faith was the Chinese lady. We make the Sign of the Cross before and after prayers, against a temptation, before a Church, when we wake up in the morning, among other occasions.

This Chinese lady was authentic because she saw the man who should be the true representative of Jesus Christ on earth. She prepared herself spiritually because she believed he would attend to the anguish that afflicted her soul, and she was rejected.

This point in the story is important because it shows the tendencial details of the anti-Catholic Revolution installed in the Vatican through those who command the Church of Our Lord. There is something much darker than we imagine in this gesture of the Pope. It wasn't a little tug that made him react in this way.

The Chinese Catholic people are suffering.

Let us continue our prayers and actions.

Greetings to Dr. Marian, Mr. Atila and all of the TIA.

     In Jesu et Maria,

     Marcos Munhoz, Brazil

Not a Word about Original Sin

Hello TIA,

Sunday Francis baptized 32 babies in the Sistine Chapel. He sent a message away with the parents, NOT a word about original sin or any traditional Catholic teaching. Rather, the babies are all born "in the Spirit" a Protestant message if I ever heard one.

He said:

"Baptizing a child is an act of justice for them. You may wonder why? Because in Baptism we bestow upon them a treasure, in Baptism we make them a pledge: the Holy Spirit. The child emerges [from Baptism] with the power of the Spirit within: the Spirit who will defend them, help them, throughout their lives. This is why it is so important to baptize them as children, so that they may grow with the power of the Holy Spirit." (Original here)

He tells the parents to catechize their children, but many simple people don't have the means to do it since the Popes stopped teaching Catholic truth...

St. Philomena’s Presence

Dear Ellyn Miller,

Thank you for your very beautiful tribute to Saint Philomena that I just finished reading.

Saint Philomena appears in my life at times I have almost forgotten about her and when I need her the most.

I can't remember quite how I first encountered her, but over the past few years she reminded me of her presence when a statue of her appeared at the sanctuary Altar in the vestibule of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Northampton, Massachusetts.

Here you will find more interesting information about her and the sacred cord associated with her miracles that also mentions Saint Thaumaturgus.

I will begin Novenas to her right away, entrusting her to help me through a remarkable situation that must be seen to completion for which I will need substantial Divine intervention of every kind!

PAX TECUM FILOMENA

     Many blessings,

     S.F.

Please Explain the Immaculate Heart of Mary

Dear Dr Horvat,

Can you please explain to me what does devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary consist of as nobody seems to know it exactly.

     Regards,

     R.H., Ireland

Dr. Horvat responds:

Dear R.H.,

I suggest you to read the Saint of the Day on the Immaculate Heart of Mary by Prof. Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira. He explains quite well there what this devotion is.

If, after reading it, you still have some doubts, please, specify them and I will be glad to help you within the limits of my knowledge.

     Cordially,

     Marian T. Horvat. Ph.D.

An Inquiry about Card. Newman

Dear TIA,

Thank you very much for these Vital Facts on the Controversy of Sheen's delayed Canonization! [here, here and here]

Many Catholics see the late Archbishop Sheen, as you are aware, as a great Catholic personality especially with TV "programming" 'that influenced the population so incredibly with Pope JPII, Assisi Gathering, Mother Teresa-Princess Di. Etc...)

The recent canonization by Jorge Bergoglio of Henry Cardinal Newman is another concern. [Facts about his life and canonization here, here and here]

Cardinal Newman lived 32 years with another man, and insisted he be buried in the same coffin with him!

My Question:

Was Cardinal Newman a sodomite?

It is disturbing if it is true and he becomes the Patron 'saint' of sodomy, rather than Holiness.

Looking forward to your response.

Thank you for your good and reliable Catholic website! God bless you!

In Jesus and Mary and St. Joseph,

     E.D.M.

TIA responds:

Dear E.D.M.,

Thank you for your kind words.

The historical question whether Card. Newman was a sodomite or not cannot be answered with a simple yes or no. The data we have at hand, which we posted on our website (here, here, here, here, here and here), allow us to raise a serious suspicion that he was. This suspicion would have been enough to stop any reliable process of canonization in the time before Vatican II when these processes were honest.

However, those data are an ensemble of circumstantial evidences; in them we did not find evidence that he was a sodomite that falls under the category of indisputable.

     Cordially,
