Preparing for Christmas & Francis’ New Crib

How to Prepare My Family for Christmas?

Greetings TIA,

I was reading your posting regarding the 2 Sister Lucy’s and I, then, went to your previous posting concerning Sister Lucy’s last public interview in 1957 in which she said, “So, now each one of us must begin to reform himself spiritually. Each one has to save not only his own soul, but also all the souls that God has placed on his pathway.”

I was pricked to my soul from this quote. Not only do I need to reform myself, but I’m responsible for my family as well. I now realize my family and I need to prepare for our Lord’s advent. Can you recommend any readings, prayers or meditations for the Advent and Christmas season so I can lead my family, as was traditionally done before Vatican II and its novelties, and have our souls prepared for our Lord’s birth?

     Dominus vobiscum

TIA responds:

Greetings R.T.,

We are glad you were spiritually struck by those words of Sister Lucy. Her intention was to cause precisely the reaction you had. Our Lady be praised for this!

Regarding your request of good readings to prepare your family for Christmas, today, December 10, we will start to post articles, meditations and songs on our Spotlight page to prepare our readers for a good Advent and Christmas. There will be three or four additions every day under the title “Advent & Christmas Meditations.”

These are topics addressed by our writers throughout the 13 years of our website. They include the best we could find on how to prepare souls well for Christmas.

You may read these articles and comment on them with your family. Perhaps, to bring the joy of Christmas into your home, you can also sing with your family and relatives some of the Christmas songs we will be posting.

Bergoglio Imagines Our Lady Blaspheming

On the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, Pope Francis suggested that Our Lady, perhaps, had the desire to blaspheme. So, perhaps, she was not immaculately conceived. Perhaps, she was not sinless.

The Pope's job is not to sow doubt...

Vatican Radio - Dec. 20, 2015 - The Mother of Jesus was the perfect icon of silence. From the proclamation of her exceptional maternity at Calvary. The Pope said he thinks about “how many times she remained quiet and how many times she did not say that which she felt in order to guard the mystery of her relationship with her Son,” up until the most raw silence “at the foot of the cross”.

“The Gospel does not tell us anything: if she spoke a word or not… She was silent, but in her heart, how many things [she] told the Lord! ‘You, that day, this and the other that we read, you had told me that he would be great, you had told me that you would have given him the throne of David, his forefather, that he would have reigned forever and now I see him there!’ Our Lady was human! And perhaps she even had the desire to say: ‘Lies! I was deceived!’ John Paul II would say this, speaking about Our Lady in that moment. But she, with her silence, hid the mystery that she did not understand and with this silence allowed for this mystery to grow and blossom in hope.”

A Needed Protection

Here is an interesting reaction among those who go to N.O. Mass.

A Novus Ordo priest friend of mine sent me this:

Suggested petition for the Prayers of the Faithful for Sunday Mass:

“That God may protect the Catholic Church from Pope Francis’ teachings and actions, and inspire the faithful throughout the world to place their trust in Christ, not in him and the passing things of this world, let us pray to the Lord

“Lord, hear our prayer!”

Francis Lights Nativity Scene Made from Refugee Boat

Pope Francis on Sunday lit the Christmas tree and Nativity scene at the Basilica of St Francis in Assisi, which was built within a boat used by Muslim migrants to travel across the Mediterranean last year.

The ceremony was attended by more than 30 refugees, while Francis took part remotely from the Vatican.

"Watching that boat... Jesus is always with us, even in difficult times," he said.

The Nativity scene at the Basilica of St Francis in Assisi has been created inside a boat used by refugees

"How many brothers and sisters have drowned at sea! They are with the Lord now," he continued, putting all the Muslims who drown at sea in Heaven also.

More than 900,000 immigrants have crossed the Mediterranean into Europe so far in 2015, most of them young Muslim men.

Francis has repeatedly called for a compassionate response.

Alluding to Jesus' call to serve the poor in Matthew 25, the Pope said it is vital that we treat refugees with the dignity they deserve. "At the heart of the gospel of mercy, the encounter and acceptance by others are intertwined with the encounter and acceptance of God himself," Francis said. "Welcoming others means welcoming God in person!"

Here you can see how Muslims threw 12 Christians overboard during a religious clash on a migrant boat in the Mediterranean. Take a good look at these refugees, they are not women, children, old people, they are young men ready to carry out orders for revolution.

Here you can see all these "humble" Muslim immigrants rioting in the country that took them in.

Watch them destroying and terrorizing the country that took them in. "Cultural enrichment" in progress...

Here are Italians reacting normally to this massive Muslim immigration invasion. The people are fed up. Francis would not like this.

This is jihad by emigration. They even have a word for it - hijah.
