'Contemplative dance' in Torrelavega, Spain
The parish of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción in Torrelavega commemorated its 125th anniversary this past August 15, the feast of the Assumption of Our Lady. For the event the pastor, Fr. Juan Carlos Rodríguez del Pozo, below in light blue, invited the local authorities and said a solemn Mass.Between the Gospel and the homily, according to Infovaticana, Rodriguez requested a group of dancers to perform a "contemplative dance" in the presbytery. In his presentation, he said: "Now we are going to watch the parish's contemplative dance group ... We will see many colors symbolizing the rose window ... diversity and joy. They will dance in a circle, which represents perfection. And around the Eucharistic table to show that no one is excluded."
Looking at the skirts' colors as an ensemble – coincidentally the LGBT colors – we see that they form a rainbow. The dance included men in skirts (diversity?) and women with bare arms, low necks and exposed bellies, second row below. We are left to wonder whether this lack of modesty induces viewers to perfection or invites them to sin...
Adding heresy to profanation, Fr. Rodriguez del Pozo affirmed in his sermon that Our Lady actually did not ascend to a physical Heaven, since it does not exist. "No human being ascends to Heaven in body and soul. Heaven is not a physical place. Heaven is a state of soul, a state of fullness, of happiness."
He explained the titles of Our Lady as part of mythology: "God chooses Mary, a humble woman, a woman of the people. Mythology has created her for us and has exalted her so much, giving her many necklaces, many crowns, many privileges, many titles, because sometimes we have to resort to mythology to express human realities ... They are worldly realities that we find difficult to express with words, and so we have to resort to mythology."
Rodriguez is a "faithful" follower of the conciliar Popes, since JPII (here and here), Benedict (here and here) and Francis (here and here) also believed that Heaven, Hell, Purgatory and Limbo do not exist.
