McCarrick Report & Christmas Star

Sinterklaas

TIA,

For centuries the feast of St. Nicolas has been a NATIONAL Feast [in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg] where people give gifts to one another, especially in the family atmosphere. Father and mother and the children, sometimes with invited relatives attending a joyous "Sinterklaas Avond" on the 5th of December.

This is a wonderful Christian tradition, besides the joy and family reunion, it also avoids the commercialization of the Feast of Christmas. More emphasis is now paid to the Holy Bishop St. Nicolas and more emphasis laid on the pure joyous feast of Christmas uncluttered by materialism.

God bless you all. A BLESSED CHRISTMAS.

      W.T.

McCarrick Report by the Vatican
Overview

Hi Friends,

On Tuesday last, I did an hour radio show with Steve Koob on the McCarrick Report for Radio Maria. Will send link later.

Note that Saint Peter Damian [1051] condemned prelates who use their seminarians and young priests as women and penetrate them via sodomy. He consigned unrepentant homosexual prelates and pederasts to the deepest pits of Hell, but the authors/writers of the McCarrick Report seemed unphased, and do not refer to the grave sin of a bishop sexually abusing his spiritual sons.

They never outright condemn the real horror of all the vocations and lives McCarrick destroyed, but who cares!

How many sacrilegious Masses did McCarrick say in the state of mortal sin? Apparently plenty from the report, but that didn’t seem to bother any Vatican official including Francis, as far as I could tell.

They never mentioned the fact that McCarrick incurred automatic excommunication by confessing his mortal homosex sins to his sex partners. This is a “reserved sin” under Canon 1378 - A priest who acts against the prescript of Canon 977 incurs a latae sententiae excommunication reserved to the Apostolic See. (Canon 977 prohibits a priest from giving absolution to someone with whom he has had unlawful carnal relations)

I read and printed out the complete report. After hundreds of pages of affirmation on how pious and financially savvy McCarrick was, the last few pages get around to his abuse of multiple male minors which makes him a first class criminal, although the report never came close to calling him that.

Ho hum! Business as usual. As the Buckingham Castle guards would say when the Cambridge spy Anthony Blunt used to pass them by: Rears to the wall.

     God have mercy,

      Randy Engel

Good Viganò, Bad Viganò

Dear TIA,

We all have a debt of gratitude to Arch. Viganò for the good positions he has taken in the last two years.

He says that he converted from Progressivism and this is moving him to give us orientation on a large range of questions. Fine, even when the Archbishop steps outside the spheres that clergyman should lecture on, we all warmly view his counsels.

But there are some clouds in the sky. I want to focus here on the photo below. He is congratulating ex-Cardinal McCarrick in a way that only friends do. Take a look for yourself.

Then, he was very, very friendly with McCarrick. Now, he says that during that time he was quite severe with McCarrick. When I see this photo, his severity is not so clear to me.

Just a note to keep us vigilant, after so many "good" prelates who come to direct us, and most of them end by leading us back to Progressivism "in the light of Tradition"…

Keep up the good work.

May God free us from the false right.

     E.J.

Arch. Vigano with Card. McCarrick

Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano, Papal Nuncio to the United States, congratulates then-Cardinal Theodore E. McCarrick of Washington at a gala dinner sponsored by the Pontifical Missions Societies in New York in May 2012. Archbishop Vigano has since stated that  Cardinal McCarrick was already under sanctions at that time, including being banned from traveling and giving lectures. Oblate Father Andrew Small, center, director of the Societies, said Archbishop Vigano never tried to dissuade him from honoring the Cardinal at the gala. (CNS photo/Michael Rogel, PMS)

Wastelanders Going into Cultural Oblivion

TIA,

Re: Lockdowns Destroying What Is Left of Classical Music

Miss Bachar forgot to include in the decline of Catholic Culture litany: Vatican II nightmare.

I am in 'Catholic'/Renaissance café... nice... but filled with Modernism at all levels. Even its 'nice' affection for Renaissance is somehow a junk pile... that no one really sees. They are all enmeshed in it now, even 'the best' ones.

Two Franciscan University student females just walked in... in miserabilist tragic rags, cell phones in tight slavery jeans hip pockets. They are all like that - wastelanders on the edge of cultural oblivion. They go to Novus Ordo in same rags. Do not even ask the question. Neither do communists.

Music? 'I can't get satisfaction' by any soft music, except the Hail Mary.

     E.K.

Christmas Star

Hello TIA,

I received from a friend this small article, which I believe that you will like. It is about a rare alignment of planets that happens every 800 years.

Would it not be extraordinary if this would presage the expected intervention of God?

Anyway, even it is not, it a thing to keep in mind.

   Wishing you a Blessed Advent,

     P.M.

Planets Will Align Causing Rare 'Christmas Star'
to Appear in the Sky This December

John Paluska

On December 21, Saturn and Jupiter will align into a beautiful bright star. This will be the first time they align like this since the Middle Ages.

Christmas Star

According to Forbes, the two planets will look like a "double planet" and provide an extraordinary amount of light. The last time these two planets aligned like this was on March 4, 1226, according to astronomer Patrick Hartigan at Rice University.

"Alignments between these two planets are rather rare, occurring once every 20 years or so, but this conjunction is exceptionally rare because of how close the planets will appear to be to one another. You’d have to go all the way back to just before dawn on March 4, 1226, to see a closer alignment between these objects visible in the night sky," Hartigan said in a statement.

The spectacular sighting will be viewable from anywhere on earth.

“The planets will appear low in the western sky for about an hour after sunset as viewed from the northern hemisphere, and though they’ll be closest on December 21, you can look each evening that week. Although the sight will be sinking towards the horizon, it will be bright enough to be viewed in at twilight. All you need is an unobstructed view to the southwest, and to look to the southwest from about 45 minutes after sunset where you are," Forbes states.

To catch it in the night sky, you'll need a regular telescope at a minimum. But for a brighter view, an astronomer's telescope or a university telescope feed would work better. Alignments like these, called "conjunctions" are not necessarily rare, but some of them are impossibly rare or only come around once in hundreds of years. Astronomers speculate that the Star of David written of in Matthew was an exceptionally rare triple conjunction between Saturn, Jupiter, and Venus. One such astronomer was Johannes Kepler, one of the greatest astronomers of all time.
