Wild Blue Yonder

Official song of the United States Air Force

"Wild Blue Yonder" formally titled "the U.S. Air Force," is a patriotic American song hailing the bravery and courage of the United States Air Force pilots. These valorous warriors soar through the heavens delivering fire and thunder to their enemies. Their battlefield is the limitless sky. There they readily face the challenge to fight victoriously or fall gloriously.

Wild Blue Yonder was composed by Robert Crawford in 1939 and won the contest to become the official song of the U.S. Air Force, originally known as the Army Air Corps.

Listen to Wild Blue Yonder

Lyrics:

Off we go into the wild blue yonder,
Climbing high into the sun;
Here they come zooming to meet our thunder,
At 'em boys, Give 'er the gun!
Down we dive, spouting our flame from under,
Off with one heck of a roar!
We live in fame or go down in flame.
Nothing can stop the Army Air Corps!

Down we dive, spouting our flame from under,
Off with one heck of a roar!
We live in fame or go down in flame.
Nothing can stop the Army Air Corps!
