French School Uniforms
Dear TIA,
Given that Dr. Horvat has written in the past about the positive effect of implementing school uniform policies, I thought it might interest you to know that parts of France are now voluntarily returning to uniforms for their school children. Check the news report here.
It is not perfect, but it is perhaps a sign that people are gradually realizing how empty and dissolute modern society's revolt against order leaves us.
Best regards,
S.C.M.

Anti-Gun Pfleger's Guard Arrested
TIA,
In some fun news, regarding ardent anti-gun priest Father Pfleger: It seems that the anti-gun Pfleger has armed security and one of them was arrested for carrying a gun without a license outside of St. Sabina, Father Pfleger’s church.
Apparently the anti-gun Archdiocese forgot to tell Pfleger that carrying a gun is against the rules; of course, there are rules that apply to some of us and not others - Do as I say, not as I do.
The other question that comes to mind is why this guy didn’t get an Illinois Concealed Carry License? Surely he wouldn’t have been a prohibited person, would he?
Don’t you just love unlimited hypocrisy?

MET Gala & Biennale
Margaret Galitzin, Dr. Horvat,
I thought of you yesterday. I went into the post-modern oblivion wasteland with acid rock blasting, called Kroger's here. As always, waved secretly to the most beautiful woman in Norwood/Cincinnati, Ohio, the 1910 large photo of 'Mary of Norwood' as she is walking from morning Mass at St. Mathews (Immaculate Conception Church now) to ... yes... Krogers in her beautiful covered head to toe clothing. Her apparel was of crisp cottons and linens and ten or more inch high large hat of various fruits with a business like umbrella in black under her arm, as she eternally steps from the curb near a horse and buggy. Photo coming soon. I am glad it is just an old photo.
At times, since I have no media, (we have never owned a television, not did it ever occur to us to have one... insipid filth!) I scan the Kroger magazine rack for affirmation of cultural rot and entertainment. I do not usually look at any, just scan.
However; I did see a thick shinny 'special' Vogue edition on the Met Gala Catholic Fashion Show. I flipped though quickly....
You may appreciate seeing it if you have a magazine display offering Vogue so you can scan it there in LA. It also has a large article about the new extreme hip 'pope' movie. Thick. Shiny. Fifteen dollars. One hundred percent Catholic mockery. Including the movie. I suggest that Vatican II-ers take some design guidance from this show.
The buildings in you post today [Venice Biennale], and the 'high culture' of the Met Gala are a perfect match! They 'work' together.
Thank you,
E.K.

Communist CPA Issues a New Plan
TIA,
Here [below] is some interesting news that SHOULD take the Beijing-Rome accord off the table, if the Vatican were still sane and Catholic.
A new plan was announced that would put more control of the CPA and its bishops under the control of the government under the name "Sinicization," which is to make Chinese in character or form. You can read the release from the London Tablet below.

Five-year plan for 'sinicization' of Church in China
The Patriotic Association of Chinese Catholics (PA) and the Council of Chinese Bishops (BCCC) have launched a "Five-Year Plan of Development for the Sinicization of the Catholic Church in China," AsiaNews has reported.
The plan was approved last week by the two bodies, neither of which are officially recognized by the Holy See, and both of which acknowledge the Communist Government in Beijing as the primary authority in China, even over religions. The unofficial or "underground" Church in China, whose first loyalty is to Rome, had no part in the formation of the plan.
The objective of "sinicizing" religions, including the Chinese Catholic Church, was declared in 2015 after President Xi Jinping took part in a meeting of the United Front - a body answerable to the Communist Party Central Committee that has new powers to impose state control on religions.
The “sinicization” process will purportedly increase assimilation of Chinese culture into religious expression, eliminating “foreign influences”. Independence “from foreign influence” implies acting without the mandate of the Holy See, and submission to the Communist Party.
No details of the Five-Year Outline were mentioned in a 22 May news letter on the CCPA-BCCCC website. Some Catholic observers, AsiaNews reports, believe this move was so as not to offend Rome, as China and the Vatican are currently undergoing negotiations, in particular on who has the right to appoint bishops.
In an interview with the South China Morning Post on 18 May, John Hung Shan-chuan, Archbishop of Taipei, the Taiwanese capital, said that the Pope told him that he would not compromise Catholic principles for the negotiations and that the power to appoint bishops must remain in the hands of the pontiff. On this issue, concluded Archbishop Hung, there is still no final agreement in the dialogue.
If negotiations are to lead to the establishment of full diplomatic relations between Rome and Beijing, then the Vatican would have to follow most of the rest of the world in rescinding its recognition of Taiwan as an independent state.

Today a ladybug landed on me. My mother always told me to be careful not to brush it off. Stay very still and count the spots then make a wish. The number of spots will be equivalent to the number of months before your wish comes true and you will have good luck.
I stayed still and counted seven spots. Then, I made my wish that Pope Francis would resign the Papacy.
So, I am thinking we have seven more months of the destructive acts and games of the Argentine Pope...
