The Breath of the Spirit & Tenderness
TIA,
Below you will find an excerpt from this article, in which Pope Francis accuses Traditionalism of having a Pelagian spirit and a Gnostic spirit:
"Often it brings us to assume a style of control, of hardness, of normalcy," said Francis. "The norm gives to the Pelagian the security of feeling superior, of having a precise orientation. In this is found its force, not in the lightness of the breath of the Spirit."
"Speaking to Gnosticism, which widely held that people should shun the material world in favor of the spiritual realm, Francis identified such thinking today with that which "brings us to trust in logical and clear reasoning ... which however loses the tenderness of the flesh of the brother."
So, we cannot have precise orientation, read traditional Catholic belief, nor can we have logic and reasoning, which brings us to God's truth. What a Catholic Church leader!!!!

Congrats to Francis!
TIA,
As John XXIII, Paul VI, JPII and Benedict slowly drained the Roman Catholic blood from the veins of the New Conciliar Church, it took a Jesuit from South America to finally give the Modernist Church its final label: Non-Denominational.

Dear TIA,
Re: Francis' Rock Album
Salve Maria!
It is shocking that the Head of the Roman Catholic Church does not know or does not care that rock music serves the Devil.
Incredible!

Drink, Comrade
Dear TIA,
Please, read this tasteful news about drinking champagne.
Now, science has discovered that to drink a glass of champagne every day prevents us from having dementia and Alzheimers.
I very much believe it is worth trying. Don’t you?
A toast to our good health,
M.E.

Salesian Missions Promote Masturbation, Contraception
The Lepanto Institute
The Lepanto Institute was recently asked by a supporter if the Salesian Missions was a “safe charity” to donate to. Not knowing the answer, Lepanto Institute conducted an investigation of the Salesian Missions’ program called “Life Choices,” and discovered that this program is quite similar to just about anything Planned Parenthood would publish.
The program recommends masturbation, encourages condom use, employs emotionally dangerous “role-play” exercises, promotes contraception (including abortifacients like the morning after pill), and even provides contact information for teens to acquire condoms and contraception. According to the Salesian Missions’ website, over 375,000 kids have been exposed to this program.
Click here for the full report in PDF format.
The Salesian Mission Office, under the guidance of the Eastern USA and Canadian Salesian Province, seeks to provide for the material and spiritual needs of poor and abandoned individuals, especially the young. The Salesian Missions belong to the order started by St. John “Don” Bosco, the Society of St. Francis de Sales, commonly referred to as “Salesians.
Given what has been discovered, imagine what St. John Bosco would think with the order he founded contributing not to the sanctification of youth, as was his own mandate, but to their corruption with these immoral programs.
The project of the Salesian Missions called “Life Choices” is clearly not in line with Catholic moral teaching, however this report illustrates an even greater issue that merits further attention. It should be noted that the Life Choices program being implemented by the Salesians was only made possible through the donations from and partnerships with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), and the Global Fund.

Just in case you didn’t read it, I am sending you the news report below, taken from the Maurice Pinay blog.

World Jewish Congress leaders to gather in Rome, meet with Pope Francis
Fri, 23 Oct 2015 - Leaders of Jewish communities from around the world will gather in Rome next week for a meeting of the World Jewish Congress’ (WJC) Governing Board. On Tuesday, 27 October 2015, nearly 150 delegates and guests will discuss the situation of Jews around the world, as well as the current tensions in the Middle East, the refugee crisis in Europe and the Iranian threat. The following day, Pope Francis will receive the WJC leadership on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Vatican’s landmark declaration Nostra Aetate, which will be followed by a press conference by WJC President Ronald S. Lauder.
The Governing Board meeting will be chaired by David de Rothschild and attended by 150 heads of Jewish communities, delegates and young Jewish diplomats from around the world. Discussions will focus on the implications facing Jewish communities in light of the various conflicts in the Middle East, including the threat of jihadist terrorism, the aftermath of the nuclear agreement with Iran, the growing attacks on Israel by the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, and the state of relations with other faith communities.
The WJC will be marking the 50th anniversary of the Nostra Aetate declaration, drawn up by the Second Vatican Council and promulgated by Pope Paul VI on 28 October 1965, condemning anti-Semitism and markedly improving relations between Jews and Catholics.
On the anniversary of this important event, WJC delegates will take part in a public audience with Pope Francis on St. Peter’s Square. Prior to that, the Catholic pontiff will receive WJC President Ronald S. Lauder in a private audience.

I am very interested in finding out more about the statue you show on this page, entitled Virgin of Lepanto in Granada, Spain - pictured at right.
Would you happen to know where it is housed and who owns it? I am anxious to learn more about her.
Thank you for your time, and may God bless you,
D.S.
Dr. Horvat responds:
Greetings, D.S.,
This statue is the Co-Patron of the city of Granada in Spain. Its official name is Virgen del Rosario Coronada – Crowned Virgin of the Rosary. It is also known as Virgen de Lepanto. It was present at the Battle of Lepanto, which was won by the Catholic Navy in a miraculous way. She is normally in the Church of St. Dominic in that city. Every year the people of Granada take the statue in a solemn procession in her honor.
You can see two photos of her annual procession below.
You may find more photos and information on this Spanish website.
Cordially,
Marian T. Horvat, Ph.D.
