Bergoglio’s Kiss, ‘Great Event’ & Hate Mail

A Healthy Priest on a Sick Pope

Greetings,

Regarding: Is Pope Francis a Good Model for Zero Tolerance?

I am a hospital Catholic chaplain priest and by coincidence I came to stop by a TV monitor and I saw this "pope" kissing this poor handicapped boy.

To be honest I felt like vomiting to watch such an act of depravation, because it really was. I think this "pope" is really sick, and there will be more to come.

Talks about Vatican II

Dear TIA,

Salve Maria!

I meant to go to some conferences of the series on the Constitutions of Vatican II a religious order is promoting in my area, but decided against it for two reasons: my health plus my disgust with compromisers.

I remembered a conference about Vatican II on Sacred Music, where the young padre expounded on the Vatican II documents securing Latin as having pride of place, Gregorian Chant to be utilized, no vulgar instruments (drums, guitars, etc.) allowed in the novus ordo mass... So, I raised my hand and asked if that is the case, why are all these forbidden things implemented and all the desired things expunged? His only answer: “I do not know.” And I could not bring myself to go to another such conference.

Conservatives claim that the Novus Ordo/Vatican II was “misunderstood” or “misapplied” and that’s impossible! Simple mistakes here and there do not bring about wholesale destruction. Vatican II was a lie perpetrated upon an unsuspecting laity that was well-trained to “hear and obey.”

Tradition in Action is a haven of right education for those trying to understand what happened, why, and what to do about it. Every serious Catholic owes TIA a debt of gratitude for the heroic efforts put into preserving the past and exposing the truth. Many families today are stronger, better educated and more militant, thanks to you. I know my family is.

Thank you, I’m sorry to not be able to report on that series of conferences!

     In Maria,

     K.C.

St. Frances Cabrini

Dear TIA,

Thank you for this edifying article on St. Frances Cabrini and the role of suffering and how we can make reparation for others. I now have a much deeper appreciation for her and for what she did and taught.

May her spirit live on in us!

Our Lady of the Great Event

TIA,

Recently, I came across an article on the website Daily Catholic which mentioned that the Spanish translation for the name of “Our Lady of Good Success” was wrong. The author believes that the correct translation would be “Our Lady of the Great Event”.

Could Dr. Marian Horvat comment about this new information, concerning “Our Lady of Good Success”? The article was written by Karl Keller and can be found here.

     Thanks,

     R.K.

Dr. Horvat responds:

R.K.,

Thank you for your information and question about the title of Our Lady of Good Success in Quito. In fact, suceso in Spanish can translate also as a happening or event. Mr. Keller makes this translation proposing that the title is announcing the future triumph of the Immaculate Heart and the Reign of Christ the King in society. Although it is a valid translation, I believe mine, which takes suceso as our English success, is more encompassing.

I adopt the general view that Mr. Atila Guimaraes points out in the Foreword of my book Our Lady of Good Success, Prophecies for Our Time:

“The invocation of Good Success, from the perspective of the Conceptionist Congregation of which the Convent of Quito is a part, speaks of the happy development of the gestation of the Word from Conception to Birth. The contemplation of the mysteries of the august relationship between the Word and the Virgin during the nine months that He resided in her womb is implicitly contained in the Conceptionist vocation. In this sense, one understands that Our Lady wanted to reveal to the Conceptionist nuns part of the secrets regarding the future of the Mystical Body of Christ.

“The invocation of ‘good success’ was understood by the faithful in its first meaning as a simple and comprehensible plea for safe childbirth by ladies who would so invoke the Virgin. Thus, in a certain way, this invocation is analogous to Our Lady of the Parturition, Our Lady of the Light and Our Lady of Candlemas.

“Later the invocation broadened to be understood in the sense of ‘good success’ in various undertakings of Catholics, both women and men.

“However, given the revelation of Quito, the invocation could be said to have extended itself even further. There, at the beginning of the 17th century, Our Lady came to ‘conceive’ a new era for her glory, an era that would be born much later. The ‘good success,’ therefore, speaks of the broad Marian protection she would give to the Holy Church during this time and of the happy establishment of the new era that will come. It is an invocation that relates to the future.”

The title Our Lady Good Success maintains the relevance of the understandings of the term throughout its history: for women asking Our Lady for a ‘good success’ in childbirth; for the faithful who came to Our Lady’s feet to ask for good successes – both spiritual and material – in other undertakings in their lives; for the Conceptionist nuns whose vocation calls for a special meditation and understanding of Our Lady’s miraculous conception as the great success that changed History; and for those in our times who believe that Our Lady will intervene to give a good success, a great event, to restore the Church to her former glory.

In brief, in my opinion, the term “good success” - encompassing the success of the Conception of Our Lord in the sacred womb of Our Lady plus many other happy events in the past, present and future - seems much more appropriated than “good event,” which only looks toward a coming era.

I do not believe, therefore, it is necessary to replace Our Lady of Good Success with Our Lady of the Great Event as Mr. Keller proposes.

     Cordially,

     Dr. Marian T. Horvat

Dear TIA,

Since TIA is based in Los Angeles, and it is one of the targets for a North Korean nuclear attack, if this article is true, maybe you would like to check out this guide for nuclear attacks.

Your Posts of Hate Mail

Atila,

Regarding your posts of Hate Mail.

I wanted to write you a word of encouragement. You and your friends at TIA are being viciously, verbally attacked and some of these people are so mean that probably if they met you they would try to kill you. This is the devil plain and simple who inspires these people and their own concupiscence.

They attack you with such a hatred of the truth and your response has always been to present the Catholic Church teaching with precision, clarity and dignity, something which your detractors in your hate mail section clearly lack.

I remember meeting you at Catholic Family News conference in Cleveland when I was ignorant about what was really happening in the Church. You shed a great deal of light on what was wrong in the Church and what was the solution for this wholesale loss of faith. I remember being impressed with your quite, sure manner of presenting your material on the Miserablist Church.

Your detractors fit right in with that church. They are miserable and hateful people and I know that you are just the opposite. You are fighting for the Church and the truth of Christ and that is why you are attacked.

They have a low culture and know little about truth and beauty, whereas you possess these things. They mock you for this. If they were running your website they wouldn't give your protests a second look nor would they post them. The liberals are like that. They can dish it out but they can't take it. I guess your reason for giving them a soap box is that you want to warn us what will happen to society and what is happening already if the amoral and pagan people are given free reign in society vs. a society based on Catholic principles with Christ and his kingship as the head.

Your side, which is the Catholic side, will one day win hands down.

In the mean time the Church must face her passion as Christ faced His and so you will continue to follow in the footsteps of our Master.

God bless you and all of the good work you do for the Church and exposing the fraudulent attacks by those inside the gates to pull her down to the same level as her miserablist enemies on the outside.

Keep up the good work. You are making a difference in peoples lives. You made one in mine. I got out of the Revolution and joined the Counter-Revolution and I have raised my children to do the same.

The Editor responds:

Kathy,

Thank you for your words of encouragement. Coming from you they mean a lot to me and to us at TIA.

Support like yours gives fuel for the flame of the Counter-Revolution to continue burning and increase.

It is a reward for me to have been of some help for you in the past.

May Our Lady win this fight against the Revolution so that her Reign may be established soon, as she promised in Fatima.

     Cordially,

     Atila
