Regarding the Sin of Homosexuals

People Commmenting
Tradition in Action,

How absolutely true do the words of Our Lord to St. Catherine of Siena resound regarding the sin of homosexuals. Their condition and behavior is nauseating and disgusting to even think about, yet to think that Our Lord must witness their heinous acts firsthand, repeatedly, every day, in every corner of the world.

Having just witnessed on television news the close of the "Gay (Olympic) Games" in Chicago", I believe I was given just a glimpse into to the appalling, shameless, and utterly selfish, true nature of this abomination that Our Lord has to endure from the heavens.

Given the complete heinousness of this sin/disease, I am only surprised that Our Lord did not have more to say about it to St. Catherine so that traditional, staunch Catholics might have even more verbal ammunition for the debate about it in public society today.

I suppose, however, that Our Lord feels the utter and momentary destruction of five cities ought to be sufficient evidence of his displeasure for the ages. As well it should. The only problem with this is, that destruction having occurred so long ago, the whole account of it in the Book of Genesis is now regarded as a fairy tale, something that never happened.

I have to believe, however, that Our Lord will someday soon give our country firsthand evidence of his displeasure with the sin of homosexuality. I find it hard to believe that what went on in Sodom and Gomorrah thousands of years ago can be any worse than what goes on, and is even being codified into law in San Francisco, Oakland, and other major U.S. cities today.

If this sin is truly as abominable to Him as Our Lord says it is, it is only a matter of time before His long forbearance gives out to His Divine Justice.
