What People Are Commenting
Reader Supports TIA's Position
on Standards of Culture
Dear good folks at TIA,
I had to smile at the letter from the man from South Africa posted September 27. Your response was, as usual, very charitable.
I can't help but make an observation of how in the first paragraph he says there ought to be allowance made for differing customs and different cultures, etc., etc., but in his second paragraph he will not extend the same generosity to Americans and their language or culture. Has Mr. N.J.M. heard the English speak their language lately? Or the French, for that matter?
I am also surprised that America is the source of all the evil in the world. I thought that Our Lady of Fatima said that Russia would spread it errors around the world...
With all due respect, please forgive my bluntness, Mr. N.J.M., but honesty forces me to say that charity never lowers itself to insult others whom we may dislike.
Great site, keep up the fight!
You may use my name if you desire,
Sincerely,
T.D.
