Alieni Insurrexerunt is an antiphon for Good Friday. Here David, persecuted by Saul, is a
prefigure of Our Lord who suffered
from the malice of the synagogue. After being delivered into the hands of the wicked, Christ has recourse to the Father as the only invincible refuge.

Alieni insurrexerunt in me,

Deus, in nomine tuo salvum me fac:

Strangers have risen up against me,
And the mighty have sought after my soul.
Save me, O God, by thy name.
And judge me in thy strength.
