Prayer to the Guardian Angel of America

O Glorious Guardian Angel of the United States, to whom God has entrusted the care of our beloved country, we honor you and thank you for the care and protection you have given to this great nation from the first moment of its inception.

O Powerful Angel Guardian, whose watchful glance encompasses this vast land from shore to shore, we know that our sins have grieved you and marred the beauty of our heritage. Pray for us.

O Holy Angel, before the throne of God. Obtain for us, from the Queen of Heaven, the graces we need to overcome the forces of evil so rampant in our beloved land.

Help us, our God-given protector and friend, to respond wholeheartedly to the urgent pleas of the Mother of God at Fatima. Assist us to offer the prayer and sacrifice necessary to bring peace and goodness to our nation.

We want to make you known and loved throughout our land, so that with your help we may become once more "a Nation under God"!

The Rabbi at the Synod
WhatPeopleAreSaying02_Cir_sm.jpg - 24011 Bytes
TIA,

Regarding your article on the rabbi in the Synod. The rabbis who are really strict say that the Old Testament is like water and the Talmud like wine, so for them, it is not too difficult to know which has the most authority when push comes to shove. However, the main patriarchs and prophets are to be understood as types of Jesus, as the entire Old Testament is written to prepare for the birth and mission of Jesus Christ.

There are those who say if you do not believe in the New Testament, which can't be separated from the Old, then its impossible to believe in the Old Testament and you don't believe in God either.

There are things that the Talmud says about Our Lord, The Blessed Mother and Sodomy that defy description.

Mother Teresa & Phony Pope
WhatPeopleAreSaying02_Cir_sm.jpg - 24011 Bytes
TIA,

I just read a couple of your commentaries on Mother Teresa's beatification. While I agree completely with your analysis of the problems with her cause (to put it even more plainly, she simply wasn't a Catholic), where is the proverbial elephant in the room? Why would a "Pope", who could not be ignorant of the problems pointed out in your articles and which in fact can be easily gleaned from Mother Teresa's own books, want to canonize such a person?

The plain fact is that Mother Teresa represents the perfected Vatican II "Catholic," indifferent regarding faith, and otherwise non-judgmental with a heavy emphasis on temporal comfort and security issues. She in this regard is "no worse" than the pretenders to the throne over the last few decades. So why the fuss? Who cares if the usurped, phony, apostate, Vatican II church performs yet another false canonization? You show them too much respect and similarly (as did Mother Teresa) mislead people into thinking that there really is a Pope. This is impossible, as they are or have been heretics.

Unwed Mothers and Fathers
WhatPeopleAreSaying02_Cir_sm.jpg - 24011 Bytes
Dear Editor,

I was just looking over one of your articles regarding unwed mothers. First I completely disagree with the way [you say] we should treat them. The reason she fell may be far more complex than you give her credit for, and she needs compassion, love and welcoming, not to have local busybodies gossiping or criticizing her behind her back.

Second, I see you offer no explanation as to what should be done to the father in that situation. Or he is just not to blame?

     Yours,

     D.W.

TIA responds:

Dear D.W.,

In the Catholic Church we can either agree or disagree with her doctrine. If we love the Church above everything, we should accept her doctrine and follow it even when we don't understand it. In the concrete case you mention, we should not follow the sentimentalism inspired by our bad nature, but should follow what Catholic Morals tells us to do. This sets us on the path to stay the right course and save our souls. If we do not love the Church as we should, we put our own misguided thinking above her morals and disagree with her. Doing so, we are heading toward leaving the right path and, most probably, will lose our chances of salvation.

If we were not free to agree or disagree, there would be no merit for those who stay the course. So, liberty to disagree is essential to accomplish the will of God for us.

It is sad that some persons like you actually go astray from the right doctrine because they raise their personal feelings as moral parameters for action. They create a subjective morals that is different from and opposed to Catholic Morals. This is not good and certainly will lead them to the abyss. We pray you will leave this wrong path, reconsider your position on unwed mothers and follow the correct moral doctrine expounded by Fr. Sretenovic.

Regarding the unwed fathers, we posted an article answering questions similar to yours. You can read it here.

Eating Alone
WhatPeopleAreSaying02_Cir_sm.jpg - 24011 Bytes
Dear Dr Horvat,

I was surprised, on reading your article on eating alone, that you missed the chance to urge the solo diner to pray a grace before eating: as you so rightly say, you are never really alone, so this communal prayer, 'Bless us ...' is not inappropriate!

Dr. Horvat responds:

Dear M.B.,

Your point is well taken. I have made some additions to the article, and I thank you for the good suggestion.

You may read it again here.

     Cordially,

Dear Tradition in Action,

Ave María Puríssima!

Please review the film A Dangerous Life by Robert Markovitz. A Dangerous Life is a 1988 film on the 1986 EDSA Uprising which overthrew Philippine Dictator-President Ferdinand Marcos and installed Mrs. Corazon Cojuanco Aquino.

Offering my consideration and esteem, I remain,

Consequences of the Non-Consecration of Russia
WhatPeopleAreSaying02_Cir_sm.jpg - 24011 Bytes
Letter to the Editor,

The one saving grace in The Miami Herald's Jan. 19 story, "Analysis: Ukraine may be bigger loser in gas war", may be the appropriate dress of Ukraine's lovely Prime Minister, Yulia Tymoshenko. Her below the knee and below the elbow modest black dress puts to shame all Western female public officials who, in the last few decades, scandalously insist on wearing pants, etc..

When seeking solutions for current problems, such as the one between Russia and Ukraine today, one should not only study History, but also consider Heaven in the equation.

How did Heaven provide - as far back as 1917, then again in 1929 - the solution for the Roman Catholic Church and Christian Nations to the then peril of nascent atheistic Soviet Communism that eventually formed the Iron Curtain, including Ukraine, etc. ? Check here.

Our Lady of Fatima (www.fatima.org) appeared to three shepherd children with an urgent message for the Church and the world. This supernatural occurrence was, after many years of careful study by the Church, deemed authentic and worthy of belief by all souls.

One of Heaven's 1917 requests was later made in 1929 to the then only living seer, Sister Lucia... In 1929 God expected the Pope, in union with all the Catholic Bishops in the world, to consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, in order to win for that poor nation her conversion from Communism and Russian Orthodoxy to Catholicism. Mysteriously this never happened...

This 80 years of disobedience by Holy Mother Church's seven last Pontiffs - Pius XI, Pius XII, John XXIII, John-Paul I, John-Paul II and Benedict XVI (currently reigning) - is responsible, somehow, for the apocalyptic evils of the 20th Century...

For an understanding of the post Vatican II crisis afflicting Holy Mother Church ponder traditioninaction.org, cfnews.org and also spiritdaily.com (for links to daily headlines)

The consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1929 by Pope Pius XI, in union with all the Catholic Bishops in the world, would have stopped atheistic Communism in 1929 and converted Russia then. This would have deprived Adolf Hitler of the apportunity be establish himself as the anti-Communist scapegoat and become Germany's Chancellor of the Third Reich... There would have been no Jewish holocaust without Hitler and Nazism, nor a State of Israel as we now know it

Moreover, as abortion and divorce were first legalized in Soviet Russia in the 1920s, this evil would never have spread to the rest of the Western world, as it tragically has. Alarmingly, abortions worldwide reached 1 billion in 2000, according to U.N. statistics.

Although the media has reported on the Jewish Holocaust under World War II's Nazism, the Ukrainian Holocaust under Communism - which was twice as large under Soviet Russia's Joseph Stalin - is never mentioned anywhere. Why is that? Check here and also here.

Our Lady of Fatima's six apparitions were confirmed by a great solar prodigy [the Miracle of the Sun] witnessed by over 70,000 people on October 13, 1917, at Fatima, Portugal. This greatest of modern public miracles happened a month before Czarist Russia fell to a Communist Revolution - financed by Wall Street's Kuhn Loeb Co., etc.

Needless to say, Our Lady of Fatima warned that disobedience by the Catholic Sacred Hierarchy, Catholic laymen and nations to the message and request made by Heaven in 1917 and 1929 would result in famine, wars and the annihilation of entire nations, in which God would use Russia to execute His Justice...

The word annihilation did not make sense to the world until 1945 when the USA dropped the atomic bomb on Japan's two Catholic cities, Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Instead of a Catholic Russia defending Holy Mother Church and Christian Civilization, today there is a KGB-controlled Russia under Putin et al that wants Stalin glorified again. The Russian Bear, with its many nuclear land and sea missiles, is a true threat to a world that has been conditioned to forget the perennial principles of Christian Civilization, exchanging them for illusory and shortlived economic and political security.

Finally, authentic Catholic prophecies of La Salette, Fatima, Akita, etc. (see here and here) indicate that a Chastisement of Heaven and of Earth will eventually kill 3/4ths of the world's population. All of this could have been avoided had Pope Pius XI in 1929 obeyed God's urgent request made via Our Lady of Fatima. It is not too late, as Our Lord Jesus Christ told Sister Lucia that this consecration would be made - but it would be very late...

Sincerely yours in Christ the King,

     A.L.D.
